BO: "Can I speak directly to God?" I only want to ask him one question?"
JESUS: "One question?"
BO: "Yep. Just one."
JESUS: "Tell you what...you ask me the question and if I have the answer that God
would give you, then I will give it to you."
BO: "O.K. I want to know what you think, believe, or know to be God's greatest accomplishment."
JESUS: "You mean like it being a choice between the heavens, earth, water, man, animals, faith, love, fire, religion, reproduction...stuff like that?"
BO: "Yeah, along that line, but not necessarily those. I want to hear from God's mouth what He feels is or was His greatest achievement."
JESUS: "Greatest?"
BO: "Yes, the greatest."
JESUS: "I do know this answer, but you might be disappointed."
BO: "I'm quite willing to accept any answer you give me."
JESUS: "And are you willing to accept it from me as if it came directly from God?"
BO: "Yes."
JESUS: "He has told me on several occasions that his greatest joy came from his decision to allow mankind to have free will. It is his greatest achievement. But, it came with a great deal of sadness, disappointment and the like; also, at times a great deal of joy, laughter, satisfaction. Consider a child about to wander into the street in front of a car...knowing that if you wanted, you could intervene, but to do so, would be violating free will. The child might turn away in time...might be rescued, or the driver might avoid the collision at the last moment. Knowing that you could determine the outcome, yet, not doing so, is a terribly tragic price to pay for allowing free will. It is more than heartbreaking, more than macabre; harsher than gruesome, worse than horrid, beyond dreadful. There are no words. There are not words...On the other hand, to observe people, yea, nations seeking peace, to watch the joy of a mother's face holding her new-born, to witness gentleness between human kind and among human kind; to behold the sense of accomplishment from a job well done, a life saved, a discovery made; to witness the search for truth...these are the things that He loves. Free will. That is what he calls it. The open curriculum. Allowing his children to love, to cherish, to vanquish, to annihilate -whenever they feel like it. Hoping against hope that good will far outweigh evil. Knowing that it is true, that good does triumph, yet at the same time, having to allow for the evil. That is His greatest joy and His greatest anguish. Free will. His greatest accomplishment."
BO: "Thank you, so, so much."...MORE
